Community Guidelines
Welcome to TCGrader! Our guidelines help create a positive, respectful community where collectors and traders can connect, share, and grow together.
At TCGrader, we believe in fostering a welcoming environment for all trading card enthusiasts. Whether you're grading your first card or managing a professional collection, these guidelines ensure everyone has a positive experience.
AI-Powered Content Moderation
To maintain a safe and positive community, all posts, images, and discussions on TCGrader are monitored by our advanced AI moderation system. This technology helps us identify and address guideline violations quickly and consistently.
- •Automated monitoring: Our AI reviews content in real-time to detect violations
- •Human oversight: All AI decisions are subject to manual review by our moderation team
- •Appeal process: You can always appeal a moderation decision if you believe it was made in error
1Respect & Community
Be respectful: Treat all community members with kindness and respect. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or personal attacks will not be tolerated.
Stay constructive: Disagreements happen, but keep discussions civil and constructive. Focus on the topic, not the person.
Welcome newcomers: Remember, everyone was new once. Help beginners feel welcome and share your knowledge generously.
2Honest Trading & Grading
Accurate descriptions: Always provide honest, accurate descriptions of card conditions. Use clear photos and disclose any flaws or damage.
Fair pricing: Price your cards fairly based on current market values. Predatory pricing or price manipulation harms the community.
Honor commitments: If you commit to a trade or sale, follow through. If circumstances change, communicate promptly and professionally.
No counterfeit cards: Trading or selling counterfeit cards is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination.
3Content Standards
Stay on topic: Keep discussions relevant to trading cards, collecting, grading, and related hobbies.
No spam or self-promotion: Don't spam the community with repetitive posts, excessive self-promotion, or advertising without permission.
Quality content: Share high-quality images, informative posts, and meaningful contributions that add value to the community.
Respect intellectual property: Don't post copyrighted material without permission. Credit sources when sharing others' content.
4Privacy & Safety
Protect personal information: Don't share your own or others' personal information (addresses, phone numbers, financial details) publicly.
Secure transactions: Use secure payment methods and TCGrader's built-in tools for transactions. Be cautious of deals that seem too good to be true.
Report concerns: If you see suspicious activity, scams, or guideline violations, report them to our moderation team immediately.
5Account Usage
One account per person: Each user should maintain only one account. Multiple accounts for manipulation or ban evasion are prohibited.
Account security: Keep your account credentials secure. Don't share your password or let others access your account.
Accurate information: Provide accurate information when creating your account and keep your profile up to date.
Enforcement & Strike System
TCGrader operates a fair and transparent 3-strike warning system to address guideline violations. Our goal is education and improvement, not punishment. Most issues can be resolved through communication and understanding.
How the Strike System Works
First Strike - Warning
You'll receive a warning notification explaining the violation. Content may be removed. No account restrictions are applied. This is an educational opportunity.
Second Strike - Temporary Suspension
Your account will be temporarily suspended (typically 7-14 days). You'll receive a detailed explanation and have the opportunity to appeal the decision.
Third Strike - Permanent Ban
Your account will be permanently banned from TCGrader. You may appeal this decision, but reinstatement is rare and only granted under exceptional circumstances.
Important Notes
- •Severe violations (such as scams, counterfeit cards, or illegal activity) may result in immediate permanent bans, bypassing the strike system.
- •Strikes expire after 6 months of good standing, giving members the chance to improve.
- •Manual review is available for all strikes. Our human moderation team reviews AI decisions and appeals.
We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these guidelines. All moderation decisions consider context, intent, and the member's history within the community.
